TBH, I think we should close and lock this thread. It's a back and forth in the bad way. It starts as a debate, but both sides quickly degenerate into an internet screaming match. Just my 2 cents. I won't be posting about this again. Good luck to anyone still reading this.

I now see the beauty of Total RAW. Few if any rules arguments! I fully support RAW now. I will also probably start playing Warmachine more often as well.

It sucks when you know GW will always write terrible rules. I feel a sort of despair when I think about army design in 40k now.

It took me awhile to realize it but the Avatar is kind of a punk. He has been wrecked three times in the fiction now between the novel and Codex Daemons and Tyranids. I used to think he was the nuts or something.

This is the one thing I will never be able to bring myself to agree to. Every unit in Codex:Chaos Daemons has the Daemon rule. I just can't support something that goes completely against common sense. I don't think it's double think but it very much reminds me of that. There is also a simple and succinct explanation in that the book is referring to an out of date book that no longer exists, therefore the section is without effect.

Debates rage on all forums about these sorts of things, RAW vs. RAI. Doesn't require insults to be passed back and forth, why personalize things? It's an impersonal argument, because in the end, it doesn't affect my life. It's a game I play once or twice a week.

As far as Daemons being Daemons, I've yet to play someone that said my Daemonhunter gear doesn't work against them because they're not Daemons, but I've heard others argue as such. I can't imagine most people having that argument without laughing.
