Rules for the Spectres seem a bit weak for the cost (range especially). No idea why the Warp Hunter is BS3(doesn't really matter) and a small blast weapon.

Just came across them as well. The Spectres look really nice and so does the Warp Hunter. Gonna check their rules in a sec.

Both are very meh. The hunter isn't better than a prism. Most prism shots wound on a 2+ anyways and the small blast instant kills most things, so it seems like a wash. The specter... I'm just disappointed. It seems like most other races get better stuff. The hornets are still nasty.

I'll probably end up buying the spectres just to have the models. That will be after IA11 is published, however, in hope they alter the rules with one or two less sales coming from me. 12" guns, really? Small T3 squad with 4+sv foot slogging for 35pts, really? Not interested in the warp hunter in both rules and model. For 177pts you get one TL S10, Lance, shot at AP2 on 4x T3 4+sv models. Not counting their 12" one shot guns. Wraithguard are considered weak, imo, and they have the better guns but with T6 and 3+sv for the same price.

Haha, I still say hornets would be on par with normal 5th edition stuff if it were able to fire both weapons and/or BS4 for the same price.

The spectres have jet packs so jsj which is a plus. Everything else blows about them. If they changed the wording for the warp hunter from instant kill to remove from board, now your talking.

If it were Large Blast it could compete with fireprisms. Just can't see a reason to use either of these units as is.

I like the idea of the Shadow Spectres but I agree, they kinda blow.
