Desert Trygon
I think I'm finished. Haven't sealed it in case I feel the urge to do some additional touch ups

Painting a Farseer atm, the hippie one, while watching Spartacus and waiting for Caprica to become available online.

Re: Desert Trygon
I am redoing my original farseer, using the helm for a farseer in bike, and i am going to give the original farseer a high elf head.

Re: Desert Trygon
....wow. That Trygon is BEAUTIFUL.
What recipe is the color scheme, if you don't mind my asking? I kind of want to reproduce that color. Not sure on WHAT yet, but I definitely would love to try it and use that as a model.

Oh wait, I know what...I'd love to do Tau in that scheme. Man, I wish I had a talent for picking out colors on sight!

Re: Desert Trygon
I think he should play nids. It would be such a different play style for him. though with DE on the horizon this fall, I bet he will soon be shelling out the dough to Joel.
On topic, by far the best painter I have seen in our group. He could do very well selling it, though one can tell alot of time and love went into that.

Re: Desert Trygon
Thanks guys-
The colors are varying degrees of:
Flesh: Tallarn flesh> rotten flesh
Fleshy bits: Tallarn Flesh> tentacle pink
bone: Calthan brown> Kommando khaki> bleached bone
Eyes: Skorne Red(Privateer paint)> Sunburst yellow(GW)
pretty simple
This is a farseer I'm working on right now. He is to replace the Eldrad I painted when I was 13~14. Trying chrome NMM again (still needs glare to be added). Not done but you get the idea
edit: dont' mind the shitty camera- I don't even have photoshop installed yet to edit the image

Re: Desert Trygon
Awesome work. NMM is a VERY difficult technique to pull of and it's looking very good thus far. Keep it up.

Re: Desert Trygon
Thanks for the recipe!
Holy crap man, you're my painting role model. Some days I want to pay you to paint me stuff! And some days I want to pay you to teach me, heh.
Seriously man, I feel terribly unqualified to say anything that should be added or improved upon.
I wonder, will you be painting any of the new eldar tanks chrome like that? That'd be really interesting.
