Forgeworld Doing Fantasy Now
Forgeworld has produced some Fantasy stuff in the past, but it's never been that big a thing for them, well it sounds like that will be changing as they will now be giving the game much more attention with their own releases ala 'Imperial Armour' expansions.

They do have the Greater Daemons and that Nasty War Mammoth, which of course there are no legitimate rules for. Oh, and what will most likely be the best thing is the creation of a bunch of Chaos Dwarf stuff that you can't even use.

Re: Forgeworld Doing Fantasy Now
Ovich, aren't the Chaos Dwarf rules available on line?
So couldn't a player download the rules and play?
It appears FW is also going to print rules, those might include the Chaos Dwarf. Has FW ever produced a worthless model? One that could never be played in any situation?

Yeah, that carrier for heavy artillery. And the heavy lifting cargo sentinel. I mean, you *could* play with them but...er...even they say they are better as objectives.

Re: Forgeworld Doing Fantasy Now
Even as objectives, that makes them playable.
I just think that if they do make Chaos Dwarfs you will be able to use them.

Chaos Dwarves are not an official codex. Your fine in friendly games, but your basicly building an army that you can't tourney with without house rules.

Re: Forgeworld Doing Fantasy Now
That applies to majority of the stuff forgeworld makes though outside of tournies ran in the UK, where the use of forgeworld models is sometimes allowed. The Imperial armour series of stuff has always been for fun gaming pieces or as commonly accepted in the US, for Apocalypse.
If they do new armies it would be for fun just as with most of the products they make, or collectors pieces.

Re: Forgeworld Doing Fantasy Now
The only reason I play any of these games is for fun, not to bust someone's balls. So I would never have a problem with the Chaos Dwarf's, unless of course they are totally broken.

Well chaos demons are totally broken- but you have no choice BUT to let the person play them or you'll find yourself not playing tournaments/people that got the army cuz it looks cool (and it totally does. Bloodletters are some of my favorite models!).
