Second chance for drop pods?

To be honest, the moment you put templars down on the field you kinda know you're going to lose. You end up spending the majority of the game "guessing" how best to pull off the draw.

With rhino spam, expect to have a tough time getting into close combat, let alone close combat that you can win (since your space marines don't come with thrift-store grenades that every other f***ing codex comes with stock). If you bring landraiders, you're moving your AV14 behemoth right into melta range. If you choose the las cannon varient, your assaulting units are staying back so two las cannons (half a devastator squad) can fire.

Your elite choices will never score, under any circumstances. Your storm shields only confer invulnerables in close combat, and even then they're 4+.

Your heavy support choices boil down to vindicators or predators. You can't fit half the melta weaponry Codex: ANY POWER ARMOR BUT TEMPLARS can field effectively.

But, your HQ's are beast-mode in close combat. No doubt.

Oh well, ce la vie. I love the chapter, my favorite BY FAR. Unfortunately, losing is no fun.

Yeah it's a funny book. Not good enough Deep Striking, too good Deep Striking and allowed to assault same turn. Can't start them on the board either, they would be much too slow and vulnerable. I guess they should have kept them in the Chaos Codex but sadly the writers of those two books fucked the game up for everyone who loved what makes the game special(Chaos!) before they quit the company.

That guy who wrote that codex and C:CSM has abrutly left GW as of last Friday.

He was the worst writer GW had seriously. He made some of the most broken army books and codexes, as well as some of the most useless ones. Good riddance.

Now of course Matt Ward should be next
