Animosity 5 Begins!!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Several of you may have heard me talk about these online campaigns that I have become involved in recently. Well, the next big one is about to begin. It is called Animosity 5 and it is set in Estalia.

These online campaigns are great, especially if you fluff and such. There are 7 different player factions available (Skaven, Bretonnians, Araybians (Empire & others), Muros (anyone 'good' really), O&G, Wood Elves (or other elves too), and Chaos/DE.

Basically it's an online map-based game with turns every week. You submit either a regular game report (against anybody, doesn't matter point size or opponent) and you try to further your individual and faction based goals. They've added an underground portion to the game, as well as individual upgrades for your character!

Fantasy has totally died, i wish i could get a game or 2 in a week or something.

i really want to try this out but i really dont understand how this works and WoC and DE are one faction O.o

There's a fantasy league running at Tate's every other Sunday

There's a 2500 point tourney in Orlando on Saturday the 15th.
Can't carpool as I'm staying for the week, but you can crash the night at my corporate apartment (near downtown disney) if you want to make the run.

Read the fluff for the faction it makes sense. The Dark Elves thru out the warhammer time line have allied them selves with chaos. See the Great War against Chaos and The Storm of Chaos. Or if you have the the chance look at either 5th ed book when allies where apart of the game. Don't forget the chaos dwarves are a part of it.

maybe on of you guys should run an event for a change. I hear that nathan fellow ran most of them.....hahaha

You can play at Tate's with unpainted models. I'm not sure for the Orlando tourney (as I don't worry about that stuff)

Yeah, but the fantasy event on 1/15; not the 40k event on 1/16

oops, wrong thread. They dont' really talk about the fantasy one, but the 40k one having your army painted is worth 20% of the score

Do you ever play up there while at school?

Mostly 40k, but I've played a couple fantasy at scifi city

I think fantasy can make a comeback down here in Miami. GW really needs to start pumping out at least three armies a year on the awesome scale of skaven with as much attention. Orcs & Gobbos could see more people buying into fantasy come march. I guess we will see. That rumored super giant spider sounds epic.

the beastman are a great book to. The trick with the skaven is yes they have raw power but it can fuck up. I lost two games cause everything when to shit

I agree with dice runt. Part of the problem with Fantasy "dying out" is that our entire world of Fantasy events centered simply around tournaments. The people who were running those tournaments all got tired of running them, so now there are no events going on.

The best bet is to pick a day in which we can get a steady crowd going. I'll make a separate poll/thread for it, but I and I know Michael don't have the time anymore to try and organize tournaments or other events. Since Nate isn't really going to Joel's anymore to play, someone else will have to step up to run a few events to see if they can't some of us who no longer wish to run them to run them.
