Daemons army?
So i'm trying agin to get my gf to try warhammer, so i'ma teach her. Issue is she wants to play daemons and only likes slaanesh and maybe nurgle. But she does like alot of the models. any advice on how to make her a decent 500 point list? or 1000 point? i'm just worried about AT for her

Re: Daemons army?
blood crushing fate weaver list look it up ....brad introduced me to the list and it is awsome.....btw a gf that like the pleasure god of slaneesh is a 2plus inv save
Re: Daemons army?
The fatecrusher build uses neither slaanesh nor nurgle. You also can't use a 333 point HQ in a 500 point list.
Personally - I find the strength of 40k Daemons to be all in the Tzeentch corner. You can't deep strike and assult.... so Khorne, Nurgle, and Slaanesh troops all need to endure at least 1 round of attacks before they can engage.
....but you can drop in and lay down the fire power and that's what Tzeentch does. Tzeentch also has the better base invuln save at 4+.
Horrors are pink - maybe that will appeal to her.

Re: Daemons army?
Fatecrusher lists are still used? Ooooookkkkk...... the tzeencth build is probably the better way to go. The only thing I would look into are the fiends of slanessh. Arguably the best unit in the book, and the most reliable way to take out heavy armor in the book. Pink horrors and demon princes shooting bolts is annoying any way you look at it, add to that 3 full feinds squads looking at a minimum 19 inch charge with a ton of high strength rending attacks and shit starts to look grim.... assuming things go well with deepstrike.

Re: Daemons army?
well she gave me a list of what she likes, Demonettes being the top,
basically she she likes, changling, pink horros, scorcher( or screecher), prince if built how she likes, greater demon of slaanesh and greater of nurgle, seekers, the masque, and plague bearers (and the keeper of secerts from forgeworld.......)

Fiends do rock. They are the first unit I'd consider outside of the Tz crew. 5 S5 rending attacks each. S6 on the leader. They have the speed to get from hiding all the way to combat, and then add hit and run so you can really cover some turf.
The only problem with Fiends is your eating into your Flamer slots.

Re: Daemons army?
Flamers are nice, but they lack the range of the fiends. So you can either make a nice "get the Fuck away from me bubble" with the flamers, or have a go getter attitude with the fiends. Different play styles, just depends what you want to do.

Re: Daemons army?
@C - Flamers are jump, so they still have good threat range. They destroy those high armor targets in mass and while they have a hard time opening the cans, they can cripple with multiple glance shots.
@V - I don't think you want a 230 point HQ in a 500 point list. Play the Kipper as a Prince. You could build some Heralds on Chariots. Those are both cool and effective.

What is she leaning towards more in terms of her interest towards the game? Hobby or gameplay? If hobby then I'd recommend introducing the gameplay aspect after purchasing/painting at least a couple models (don't want to waste too much money). Unless by direct request of course. I think I introduced the -game- to my girlfriend too early and as a result was a contributing factor in her disinterest. The game itself is a lot to get- ruleswise and whatnot- and can cause frustration. I think for someone without a prior interest in nerdy stuff, like sci-fi, the key is to find the interest.

Her response to me one time was that she would play if somebody painted all models for her lol. But I think she likes the building portion of it

Re: Daemons army?
I've got 20 of the old Ones. Best money I ever spent.
With GK out there and scatterlazer prevalence id have to say the learning curve for Deamons is super steep.
Get her a slanesh bomb list if you do. AT comes with two keepers and rending troops.
