The Peasant cannibal army went home fully satisfied, taking many Finnish, French and British prisoners to add to the cook-pots.
I hope they come with a real Soviet EW book soon, cause the one now is a bit broken.....Wave Assault for the win !

I have to be honest guys, using an untested experimental list in a tournament was a pile of shit.I thought it was just a list for EW Russians and not some new list with untested rules. That wave assault is completely unbalanced and unfair. Im not one to bitch , but that bullshit rule cost me my game and won the tournament. Luis is an excellent player, but that effect the rule had on my game left me extremely aggravated and feeling cheated(the rule not Luis). Id be shocked if that rule was implemented without major revisions into the EW Russian lists. If I had any idea how that rule worked Id of protested.

It was my fault for allowing it in the first place and I think you're right about it being unbalanced. My understanding is that the list had been tested and used several times in EW tournaments run by battlefront in New Zealand. In the future I'll only allow lists from the books or approved PDFs.

By the way, those CharB's looked awesome!

Yeah, afetr i actually saw it played i noticed how broken that wave assault rule is. I thought it wouldnt be a prob cause i mean, they are Confident/Conscripts, but damn, 32 stands of infantry take a long time to kill, specially when you have 32 more and a bunch of other crap coming your way. Having finally killed all 32 stands, took like 6 turns, and then have them magically appear again its pretty sick.

The list has been tested in several Tournaments and in NZ tourney circuit also, i hope they come with the EW book for the Soviets soon !

Papa Stalin says you cant die untill the invaders are pushed out of mother Russia, hence the Wave assault rule ! Bring back the dead !

If they came off your board edge I could have stomached that, but to just magically appear in the middle of the battlefield...on top of the objective that's what got me.

It was like dawn of the dead.

I was thinking the same thing...zombie soviets.

Soviets were considered Axis in early war and Finns are Allied. Vichy French also are considered Axis. I only counted wins and losses in battles between axis and allied armies.

Axis had a great victory, but the future is not bright considering they were carried by 6 wins from the Soviets and Vichy French.

Thank you much Julian! It was a fun tournament. I don't know about using that hasty assault mission in a tournament. It can be really hard to get break through though dug in defenders. Especially if your reserves take some time to come in, your playing against someone slow or, like in my case, you are up against the russian horde

Typical Imperialist thinking, just because the broken might of the Soviet Union magically raised hundreds of peasant-zombies, they cower in fear and have this talks about banning the benevolent forces of the Peasant-cannibal army from tournaments.

Thanks again Julian for a fantastic tournament. It was great to see 12 people there for Flames of War.

From looking at the Allied vs Axis wins It's clear that while the Matilda is a very tough nut to crack it still is beatable.
