Infantry Aces Campaign

That's cool. If anyone is interested in playing I have a ton of stuff for Americans. You could use it for the campaign. No need to buy in unless you enjoy the game.

Sounds good. I got the rulebook coming in soon and I'm working on a trade for some FoW stuff. When do you guys typically play so I could watch a few games and learn the rules?

Usually Thursday evenings, but some play more frequently than others at home.

I finished painting 2 full U.S. Paratrooper platoons(12 stands each) and my HQ which includes 1ic,2ic, x3 bazooka's and x3 snipers. On to my machinegun platoon with x8 .30 cal's and my mortar platoon.

Im betting the Bulge compilation will have a nice Para company in it. Bastogne anyone.

The infantry should have nice rules, but the support should be almost nothing.

I'm guessing a +2 movtiation rating for being so stubborn??

Yea I see +2 motivation and possibly an "always defend' rule. Because they shouldn't have a lot of support it would be tough to have them make it across the table.

They did have some tank and artillery support in the pocket.

They had a bunch of tank destroyers.Trapped with them. They had 12 155mm guns,40 light and medium tanks

They probably did, but being surrounded they were low on everything: food, fuel, ammo, and winter clothing. Not exactly a shining moment in the war. Maybe they'll get basic fortifications with their platoons.

Id say it was a shinning moment. The 101st held of Hitlers best despite being cut off and outta supply.

Caesar and I played a 500pt game Friday. The game was quick only took an hour and 15 and that was at a average pace. Really exciting we only had two platoons. I got too close and he wiped one out. I countered with my second platoon on the other side of the board and took out his while capturing the objective.

The game plays really well at 500pts and the ace skills are fun but not over powered.

I almost feel bad about throwing my 4 platoons against the two little ones most of you will be bringing.

Also sign me up! I'll be playing a fallschirmjager kompanie. I don't believe I've meet many of the Miami players, but my name is Mike. If anyone is up for teaching a newb the rules then lemme know. I'd like to get a game in or two before next Sunday.

I'm going to plan a one day tournament soon as well. I'm thinking on June 10th. I'm out of town on the 27th, but have monday the 28th off to play.

So we are starting this Sunday the 27th ? how are we doing it, do we have to submit lists ahead ? Talk to me people!

Luis and I got together tonight and played 2 games for Infantry Aces. I must admit that it was alot of fun. It played fast and fun. I will post some pictures tomorrow. We played the River Crossing mission. Once with me attacking and once with Luis attacking. I won when I attacked and he won when he attacked. I played German Paratroopers. Luis played with a regular infantry company in the first game. In the second game he played the straf battalion (yeah the one with the 2+ motivation ). The first game I won pretty easily. The second game was pretty tight but in the end he overwhelmed me and killed all but 1 on my stands of infantry.

Luis and I were going to ask if we could apply the results to the campaign but then I realized that Luis played with 2 different companies so I guess that wouldnt work.

I'll be at the store today with Luke to try a few games.

1. A legal 500pt list that means 1 HQ and 2 Combat Platoons there are no exceptions
