Scurrdi, Joel's discount is I believe 20%, if I am wrong, I know I am close.

WotR Rule book = SOLD OUT

Easterlings = SOLD OUT

Urk's = SOLD OUT

Army of the Dead = One box left.

Movement Trays = SOLD OUT

This all happen within 24 hours.

I increased the display space (I just went in there and did it).

Joel is ordering more movement trays.

I will talk to him about the special items (he had a mouth of Saron for years, until I bought). That might take a bit of convicing, but based on past sales, I may be able to convince him.

I thougt it was 15% to 20% on all GW products depending on how much you purchased.

I tried calling Sunshine to confirm, but no one answered. I will attempt again later and update everyone.

Well, we'll just get on the ball with all of this.

I think if your looking for something specific you need to call Joel yourself and he'll order it. My guess is that Jerry asks for stuff all the time just "to have in stock."

However, if say Bill calls and says "Joel, get me a mouth of sauron" it'll probably be ordered. He's been good about that sort of thing.

Well, I bought a book and a box set and movement trays on Saturday and it was 10% across the board. Has anyone gotten more that for a discount?

Last time I bought something from Joel's I think I paid pretty close to full value. It was FOW and I did use some store credit I had, so I don't know how it effects things.

Joel does not refuse to order anything. But he is reluctant to stock inventory he believes he will not be able to sell.

He has a lot of Hero Clix "Sinister" booster because his distrabutor told him it would be a hot item over two years ago (its now discontinued, meaning you can play it a tournament), so he trying to avoid that, which I don't blame anyone who is running a business.

Joel will special order anything, some times he will ask for a deposit depending on the cost of the product.

Today I will go over with the Joel about ordering specail charactors (Saron, Blades, Mouth of Saron).

Rok if you want a "Mouth of Saron" I can give you mine and I'll tell Joel to order one (which I going to do anyway) and you can purchase that one when it comes in. I did that with Oscar for his Dwarf army.

I was totally unaware that Joel was basically punishing the LotR/WotR players with a discount rate of 10%, while the 40K and Fantasy customers get a 20% rate.

When I confronted him with this, his response was he can't lose money on everything. My recommendation was raise the rate to 10% or lower rate 20% for EVERYONE! We went back and forth, he finally agreed that everyone would get a 20% discount. Also he would charge a $2.00 players fee to the LotR/WotR players just like he does for 40K. So from TODAY 23 April, the discount is 20%, this is not a retroactive, it is for purchases made from the current date on, all prices subject to change. I am not an employee. Call Sunshine if you need further information or you can talk to me in person today at Sunshine, I'll be there around 5:00PM.

So long as all players are treated fairly.

So does that mean that the LOTR folks are gonna get the league thing like the 40k folks do? The 30 pts and you get $30 store credit or whatever?
