MW American Rifle Hurricon List

Hey guys, here's the list I'll be using in Hurricon. I think I've solved some of my issues that I usually face against Tank companies, but let me know your thoughts about it!

Rifle Company Headquarters 1x CinC Carbine, 1x 2inC Carbine
Options 2x Bazooka

Rifle Platoon 3x Rifle Squad (1x HQ Rifle, 9x Rifle)
Options 1x Bazooka

Rifle Platoon 3x Rifle Squad (1x HQ Rifle, 9x Rifle)
Options 1x Bazooka

Rifle Platoon 2x Rifle Squad (1x HQ Rifle, 6x Rifle)
Options 1x Bazooka

Weapons Platoon 1x MG Section (1x HQ Carbine, 3x Lt Mortar, 2x LMG)

Mortar Platoon 2x Mortar Section (1x HQ Carbine, 4x 81mm Mortar)
Options 1x Jeep + 0.5" AAMG

Anti-tank Platoon 3x M3 37mm (1x HQ Carbine, 3x M3 37mm, 1x Jeep + 0.5" AAMG, 3x 3/4 ton truck)

Anti-tank Platoon 3x M3 37mm (1x HQ Carbine, 3x M3 37mm, 1x Jeep + 0.5" AAMG, 3x 3/4 ton truck)
Options 3x Upgrade to M1 57mm AT guns

Ammunition & Pioneer Platoon 3x A&P Squad (1x HQ Pioneer rifle, 6x Pioneer rifle)
Options 2x Bazooka
Options 1x Pioneer Supply truck

Tank Platoon 3x M4 or M4A1 Sherman

Field Artillery Battery 2x Section (1x HQ Carbine, 1x Staff, 1x OP, 2x 3/4 ton truck, 1x Jeep, 4x M2A1 105mm, 4x 2 1/2 ton truck)

Field Artillery Battery 2x Section (1x HQ Carbine, 1x Staff, 1x OP, 2x 3/4 ton truck, 1x Jeep, 4x M2A1 105mm, 4x 2 1/2 ton truck)

AA Artillery Platoon 1x Section (1x HQ Carbine, 1x Jeep, 2x M1 Bofor gun, 2x 2 1/2 ton truck)

The operative word is Bazooka! And you upgraded you anti tank unit to 57mm?

In the past my experience has been, your opponent will go after you anti tank unit right away, so give them good cover, get them in place and dig them in.

Thanks for the advice Jerry! I took two AT units, one with 57s and one with 37s. Actually finishing painting the 57s as we speak, 3 more platoons to go!

List looks good. I'm not going to make it to the tournament. Noone wants to go, I'm a bit tight on cash and don't want to drive to Orlando. Let me know how it goes.

hey, i have a short attention span !

saw the dates, if it wouldve started on a saturday i couldve prob maybe gone, but friday im tied up with work.

I mentioned this before, but we can have our own qualifying tournament. All you need is 12 or more people.
If people have time and resources to go to Orlando, they should be able to drive down the street and spend have a day.

Seriously? You're going to drive to Orlando for FOW?

Well, I'm flying into Orlando from nashville.

Two reasons to drive to Orlando to play:

1. It's a high level of competition with lots of prize support.

2. It's a completely different crop of players then you normally play against (I think there will be like 20 or more folks playing in the tournament). So it's nice to test your skills against other players.

3. It's gonna be huge, and in future years I plan on attending other parts of the convention as well (there's a 40k and Fantasy tournament as well over the weekend).

4. Why not? It's good to show that we Miami gamers exist and that we can play!

So when does the FoW tournament section starts ? is it all 3 days or just saturday or what ? im to lazy to look it up, someone do the work for me !

It's a one day event, first game starts at 8 am and it's supposed to be over at 6:30 pm.

Also, if you go online to the Hurricon website you can pre-reg via paypal. It's a little bit cheaper so that always helps.

Awsone Eric, glad you are going man, tried to break the news to the wife...things didnt go to well, lol, i got the whole "you gonna leave me alone 'again' on the weekend????" apparently plans had been made for saturday night that i was not aware off...i'll keep on baterign at the gates to see if anything comes out of it. And i cant bring her with me cause shes on call the whoel weekend, bah. WOMEN!!
