40k Tournament 2/28

Hey guys, just starting a sign-up thread to get an approximate headcount for Joel's 1850 40k tourney.

Who's running it?

I would be happy to run it. I have alot of experience running CCG and Wargaming tournaments and am well versed in 40k rules.

Two questions:

1) This is the same date as Silver Dragon usually uses for tournaments. Any chance we can change it?

2) I noticed Fantasy tournaments are sometimes run on Sundays. Can we do 40K on sunday and still get a good turn out?

1.) You would have to contact Joel about changing his dates.
2.) I am not sure personally, again, I would poll the community and check with Sunshine to see what kind of flexibility is available.

Anyways Joel said he forgot about the Silver Dragon tournament but was too busy to talk about a new date. I think it is usually the second saturday of the month but that doesn't leave much time for the players to get ready. How about the 3rd saturday of the month?

Please let me know if anyone is interested in attending. So far I haven't seen anyone sign up in the other thread so I'm starting to wonder.

Brian, you running it? It kind of appeared out of nowhere with little information. I assume 12pm start time with the normal rules restrictions?

Yeah 12 PM sounds great. Please let the local players know if you see them or talk to them. What time does Joel open?

OOPs I thought I started a thread for a tournament on the 21st but it was just a reply to this thread. I'll call Joel again tomorrow to make sure that is ok for him. If so I'll start a new sign up thread with details.

I am not taking any swag for running this thing, anything a TO usually gets will go towards 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes!

Hey Mike see if you can make it and bring those Black Templars so I can bless them with Syphilis or Brain Parasites.

Just got the blessing from the wife. If work does not interfere then the Templar's 7th Crusade will be bring the wrath of the Emperor to bear.

Outstanding. I'm bringing Noise Marines for Chris and his Eldar. Didn't their God almost wipe out the Eldar race? Oh yeah he did. I plane to finish the job. Could this tourney turn into an Apoc battle if the turnout is low? I have enough painted troops to launch a 14th Black Crusade by myself against the Fairies and corpse worshippers.

Ok well Im going to the fantasy tournament on the 1st since this aint happening.

I'm not really sure, I was under the impression it conflicted with the Fantasy tournament(Joel only wants to run each game system once every two months). So there was a Fantasy tournament in January, when is the next one, March? I guess we need a 40k tournament this month then. Can some people talk to Joel. Also please ask him to look at this forum.

Alright let's do it on the 28th then. Please contact your friends to let them know. I offered to Joel run the tournament for free but he said he already had someone who wanted to run it. Are they on these forums?
