Flames of War tournament results/pics

Well, we had a good turnout yesterday, had a good time with the games, thanks Don for running the event.

When all the smoke cleared the results were:
1rst place Dan with Brits
2nd place Erick with Stug Company
3rd place Luis with Tankovy Batalion
4th place Stephan with Guards Tankovy batalion.
5th place The Limey with Brits
6th place Tom with Panzer company and a King tiger!
Had a two way tie for second with Erick, but a minor technicallity about him having a fully painted army gave him the tie breaker ....blargh

The 8th Tankovy Batalion masses its forces for a dangerous river crossing.


Entrenched British forces prepare to meet the Soviet tanks.


The brave Soviet tankists pay a heavy toll trying to cross the bridge.


The Soviet assault is brought to a halt by the mine field blocking the bridge and Brittish determination.


Had to take a picture of the bailed out King Tiger... GO LIMEY !!

It turned out pretty fun. But that Not one step back game and rules were very frustrating!

That Koenigstiger ended up playing against two Brit armies, with an end result of killed in one (Dan's Para's) and bailed and bogged against my Rifles. I'd have double bailed the thing except for messing up my firepower with the Priest battery. Still it was fun seeing it run away from 4 M10's

Funny because I havent posted and no i havent. Ive been meaning to sync up with the group here but theyre one a wave of other games at the moment.

I gotta bring a better cam next time, some of those pictures came out pretty crappy, kinda hard taking pictures in the middle of the tournament while playing !

Yeah, it was a lot of fun. I brought the following with my British Airlanding Company:

2 Platoons of Airlanding Company
2 Full Platoons of ATGs (10 lbers)
1 Platoon 2 Sections of Mortars
1 Platoon of Airlanding Pioneers w/ Supply Jeep
Limited Air Support, Typhoons
