Fantasy Tournament! Saturday, Nov. 8th

What: Warhammer Fantasy Tournament

When: Saturday, November 8th, 2009.
Tournament will start at 12:30 pm.

Point Size: 2250

Number of Rounds: 3

Scoring: Generalship, Painting, and Sportsmanship

A majority of the points will be based on Generalship (70%) with 20% going towards Painting and 10% going towards Sportsmanship.

Details/Special Rules:

The Unknown Hero: No special characters are allowed.
A Commoners Fight: Each army must include 1 more Core Choice then required (so a total of 4 for most armies).

Special Missions will not be in use, but there be Battle Point Modifiers. Missions will be taken from the RTT Fantasy Missions packet. More details on this to follow.

Army Lists MUST be submitted no later then Friday, November 6th, 2009

What if you're a really shitty player with a really shitty army based around a special character, any way that's ok? I guess I'll just wait until the next one. I'd like to play against something other than Elves sometime!

I'm working on coming to this one. Although i really need to get a few practice games in! I will firm up the committment as soon as possible. A definate maybe.

Unfortunately, not in tournaments. I have two Ogre lists. One is a "Count As" Ogres using old Confrontation Metal Wolfen that Joel won't let me use in tourneys (even though Joel sold me all the models himself!), which is built normal style with tyrant, various butchers, several units of blah blah, etc, and a GW Ogre army that's my "One of every unit because it's awesome visually!" army that has the Tyrant model as a BSB (converted to carry banner and everything), so as a general I use Skragg.

Seriously, I built that army to have one of everything I could cram. I have 4 troop choices because that's all the army book has. And I have Skragg because he's a cool model and because by having Gorgers as specials, I can use Gorgers, Maneaters, AND a giant in the same list!

I'm such a nerd. But hey, I can go to town on the units!

I might be out of town this weekend. Put me down as questionable, and I'll confirm sometime next week.

If it's actually Saturday, I got a good chance of going. If it's Sunday... not so good.

Crap!!!! What's wrong with Saturdays? Gonna have to count me out.

I think Joel likes to keep the tournaments on the days that people normally game, which for Fantasy is supposed to be Sundays (along with WoTR, and FOW, and L5R, and ...)

Well, your army doesn't HAVE to be fully painted...

As for the Saturday/Sunday option, if enough folks say and confirm 100% that they can do it on a Saturday, then we will change the date.

I've put up a poll in the Fantasy section to see which day is better.
