Lizardmen wiped out by Tomb Kings

Bill and I were able to get two game of 2250 in today. I say 2 games, because I got destroyed so quickly! In the first game, I didn't know anything about the casket of souls. So, in turn one I lost a unit of Cold One Cavary and my Lvl 2 Skink Priest. He also charged my Carnosour with OldBlood with his Chariots and killed both. So, that game was pretty much over.

In game 2, He dropped the screaming catapult on my Oldblood and killed him in turn 1. The Carnosuar decided to wimper on the moster reaction list. After losing my general, it was pretty much over.

Fantasy has been a lot harder to figure out than anyother game I've played. I think alot has to do with not being familiar with the other armies, oh and poor rolling didn't help either.

The reason everyone shoots your lord right away is if he gets loose he will cause major damage. The carnisaur is a small step bleow riding a dragon. Same with the steggy.

The Tomb King and catapult are probably the ONLY 2 things in my whole army that could even hurt those things. Maybe the casket. I was very lucky to take your lord out; especially game 2, striking with the SSC during the top of turn 1.

You just need to keep playing and learn to leverage some of the strengths of your army. Fantasy is definately a learning experience and it takes some time before you really know what your doing.

Erik you just need to get a Slann and go Magic heavy.... it makes the Lizzie's so nasty when he gets an extra power die with EACH spell he casts...

oh and if you Miscast... no you didn't, your enemies wizard miscasts instead.... Doh !!!!

Yeah, I just put that list together. I'll see how it goes next game.

That was some master hill humping to get 3 units on that small hump!

Erik needs to learn the "little things". For example, in game 2 he won the roll for sides but let me keep the lone hill for that game.

If you see the other guy has warmachines, NEVER give him a hill if possible !!!

Fantasy is a LOT harder to play than many other games, mainly because the way you move dictates how your game is gonna go. That catapult shot was pretty damn lucky ! the Screaming Skull catapult is one of the nasties warmachines in the game since with TK magic you can shoot it twice for turn.

If you get wenesday nights off i could swing by your house and play you a game or two of fantasy Erick, i got 6 Fantasy armies so is a good chance for you to get to know some of the armies and practice.

I would love to but I'm working Weds. Maybe on a Saturday or a Monday night? Or if you skip work I'm free in the mornings!

First time I ran the King in a Chariot using the build Luis showed me.
He was nasty!

I actually haven't ever played much Tomb Kings. Would love to get a couple games in against them.
