40k Tournament [March 13th]

Place me as a maybe-leaning-towards-hell-yes

Put me down as a yes! I wasn't going to be able to make it this Saturday since it was so close to the Fantasy one, but the 13th is much more doable.

At first I was wary of such a point level, but as a one off I don't mind and I fully support trying to get more people into the tournament scene.

Granted, Necrons are kind of garbage at 1000 points...so guess I'll just have to bring something else. It'll be a good learning experience!

hey guys i was thinking of maybe putting in my own two cents and let's just make this 1250 points if everyone is cool with that? Just a thought here either way im working on making a viable 1k point list heh.

Alot of armies that don't shine in higher pt games will. Tau, Dark Eldar and the like. Along with SW and IG and Orks. Tyranids might be. But I don't think so.

Think it is too late to increase points. Some new people are coming that do t read the forum. It would suck if they should show up with only 1K.

Yeah, IG will probably have a good time, and Chaos may, also. I haven't played a 1k Game in so long, it's hard to say.

Someone should field a horrendously expensive epic character, like marneus calgar...

I won't be on until friday night. Since it is a 1000pts it will consist of 4 1.5hr games. Clock in time is 11:30 with a dice rolling beginning at 12. Two of the missions will be drawn from the new GW Battle Missions book.

I hope this puts to rest that Dark Eldar are worthless piece of shit of an army.

If the gaming system is properly constructed, then ANY army should win based solely on the skill and talent of the player.

i agree with jerry
the dark eldar are a very good army but they have a steep laurning curve. the time i played DE was fun and a challange even though 500 of his points cuases fear,pinning and the like witch i'm immune to but the rule on his skimmers that are - 12'' to your range made it hard for me since most of my ranges are 18-24''
