Re: June 2nd Tournament *Results*
It's tricky because most armies have SOME units that have a deep strike rule, where the Daemons have an entire section explaining how they deploy. Deep strike and reserves both being mandatory.
Either way - Luis offered to lend me some of his guys. I may just play something else.

Re: June 2nd Tournament *Results*
Not surprisingi Kyle. I just finished work and reviewed the CD codex.
Deamonic Assult is not optional.
"No model in this army is EVER placed on the battlefield during deployment. Instead they start all units in reserves, even in missions that do not normally allow this rule to be used."
It goes on to explain how and when to split, rolling for who leads, reserves, etc. including deep strikes. Deep Strike is one small part of the Daemonic Assult.
So when you say no "Deep Strike Rules" - that may remove the universal special rule from your average Dreadnought; but IMO that should not overturn the entire Daemonic Assult rules.
So how do you play it?
Since we are treating each model as an individual once deployed, I'd say the Daemon player splits his models and rolls individual deployment and reserve rolls for each.
On that note, I think it would be a good idea to lift the minimum unit size restrictions so people can field bike or one terminator and such.
PS - Wish I could have jumped down to Sunshine and practiced today. Work has been crazy.

Says that there are no reserves. Deep-striking is just a side effect

I have to say, it was a blast playing kill teams. The games were fast and fun. I don't see there being any one awesome build; though I am sure everyone thinks there army has one. Hope you guys and more will enjoy playing in the tourny. I strongly suggest getting a few games in before to get use to Kill Teams.

Re: June 2nd Tournament *Results*
If you field a unit with the Infiltrate and Outflank rule (roll for table side to deploy in from) - do you roll for the unit as a whole or for each individual model?

Can't outflank. Every model must be on table. You can definetly infiltrate though.

No reserves
and thus no Deep-strike, outflank, etc.
