Whats up with all he "legal stealing" with share sites? I've used them twice and ended up buying the product either way. At some point there is going to be some sort of backlash due to almost everyone downloading everything. My guess is that (as far as games are concerend) a bunch of companies would go out of business or only be allowed to grow up to a certain point. Minis sales are only part of the equation.

Re: 8th edition Fanatasy
I think with most gaming products, it's easier to just buy the product as you want it handy, and printing out rulebooks is a pain in the ass.
Lot of companies also have gone the free rule route instead of trying to sell books as it's hard to make much profit on books with such low print runs that gaming usually does.
It's common with GW stuff though because they always leak their shit early and someone puts it on the net before it hits stores.

Re: 8th edition Fanatasy
Has GamesWorkShaft announce the cost of the new rule book? $110 sounds about right, hell based on past consumer tolerance I think they should charge $350 or may be $500. I think they would still sell.

Re: 8th edition Fanatasy
Price is unknown yet, as well if it's going to be full color. It's a huge book and preview pics kinda hint that it's going to possibly be in all color which could make for pricey book.

Re: 8th edition Fanatasy
Joel said the book is gonna be like 500 pages or something out of control like that. It's gonna have basically the same amount of rule content, but more scenarios and fluff, etc. etc. Also more color.
Honestly, I've got no clue, and doubt it'll be THAT big. I'm gonna look it over just to see what it's got though.

Re: 8th edition Fanatasy
We still don't know if the box set will include a full rulebook like the past sets have. I would imagine it still does though since its coming later, but I would have thought they would have dropped the small rulebook thing since so many sales would go that route instead.

Re: 8th edition Fanatasy
Nah, people will want the large rulebook because of the scenarios and stuff. I'll bet the little one will just have the basic rules. If you want to play one of the scenarios or missions, you'll need the big rulebook for that.
At least, thats how I'd do it.

$75. Yeah, no. I'm just gonna wait for the starter set and try and get a mini-rulebook off of eBay.
