5th edition second guessing
Hey people,
Here is a question regarding 5th edition.
A rhino moves a full 12 inches. It's cargo of space marinse exits at the end of the movement phase. can those space marines then forfeit thier shooting to run?
Can a deep striking demon unit run the round they appear? Or are they still only allowed to assault on the round they come in?
Anyone else have any good questions we can argue about??

Re: 5th edition second guessing
Question: what happens to the passengers on a vehicle if they ram a Walker and the walker death or glory and kills the transport, do the guys inside DIE, or they still just take wounds on a 4+ ?
Skimmer ramming a vehicle and sit skimmer is behind terrain and over 12 inches, can the skimmer "turboboost over the terrain" and ram the vehicle that is farther then 12 inches away ??

Yes

Yes, just like in 4e

Its worked out like normal. If the transport is wrecked, the disembark with no wounds sustained. If the transport explodes they take a Str 4 AP - hit.

They move up to their maximum movement speed. A fast skimmer, such as an Eldar Falcon can ram up to 24" away. If the their intended target is too far away, they're sol. Skimmers ignore terrain unless they end their turn inside it.

Re: 5th edition second guessing
Don't forget that a Falcon that Rams something 24 inches away gets:
2 point for being armour 12
1 point for being a tank
and a whopping 8 points for ramming somehting from 24 inches away
So in all it would hit something at strength 11
poor way to use a Falcon buy hey, if it's armament has been blown off, why not?
Or how about a Wave serpent with it's twin linke weapons blown off and it's cargo already unloaded. Pretty nasty.

Re: 5th edition second guessing
Yeah, its pretty pro. People debate whether or not it can be STR 11 on the ram, as earlier in the book it states that no characteristic can be greater than 10.

Re: 5th edition second guessing
thanks for the responses before I could post. they are all correct. I think in the section where nit explains modifiers it says you can add over 10... I'm not sure but either way I would allow 10+ for rams, sounds logical....
