Simply put, comp is something I believe in and makes the game a lot funner for everyone. Bottom line.

Honestly, if you don't agree then simply don't come to the tournament. Or come with what you have and see if you can still take the prize. You know I was trying to make it easy for everyone by removing painting score and using a small comp soft score. I guess it's 'Ard Boys mentality 24/7 that you're stuck on.

Adepticon is the largest Indy GT and they still use comp scores.

Furthermore, I will not be posting the missions. When has a tournament ever posted the missions beforehand?!

Painted armies are pretty much mandatory at any major event. Local events are it's own thing, but even a lot of LGS require fully painted armies.

Max tourneys are posting their missions ahead of time. That way those that don't like the silly missions don't go and thus don't spread poor word of mouth. It's a new day my man.

Even adepticon pre posted theirs. I don't think they used comp either.

I have an idea. Let's rephrase things. Max is taking the time and effort to run november's tourny. He will be running missions from a previous GT, though this is not an official GT. Comp will be introduced for this month's tourny. It is the TO's choice to introduce new rules or restrictions since he is running it this month. I hav done it a few times myself.
Now, thanks for posting about comp ahead of time. Though it will be hard to make a list with this without knowing what the missions are. Please post or link for us.

hi, i know ive been lost but i might make it to this one. put me dwon with my Death Company Orks... also can we stop complaining about the fairness of the armies and start playing. i hate when people bitch and complain about how shit isnt fair for their armies. i've been there and learned that the more you bitch and complain the less you win. i stoped making excuses for myt blood angels (pre-new codex) and started to use diferent variants to get my orks to start kicking ass. in FACT if you look at all the sample list that they use to get the game going in all the books not one has CHEESY units. in FACT they use diferent type of units to get the job done. so please: STOP COMPLAINING CAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE GENERALS AND THE DICE ROLLING... plus its all about having fun...

Amen brother, preach it hard! It's why I'll never understand comp and why there needs to be made up rules to punish people just because someone thinks it's "unfair". Skill and fun is what matters at the end!

I don't really mind the comp rulings, I would end up with 7 points, but it may just be me. However, I do dissaprove the 'duplicate unit' slightly.

Hey, is there still time to join the tournament ? If so can I use ork mobs to act as dire avengers and/or use them to fill in squads?

If I can't join cause it's too late or i can't use the orks as fill in space for squads can i still go tomorrow to play regular games or will all the tables be in use?

Only Games Workshop Codex's will be in use at the tournament.

It is illegal to combine units from other dex's. If you have insufficient models to field a 2,000 point force you will be unable to register for the tournament. You may still register with either Codex Eldar or Codex Orks not a combination of both in one army list.

I will see if I have any space left for open gaming but so far I predict 10 players.

Anyone who has not sent me their list before midnight tonight for verification and has discrepancies in their list will be unable to play tomorrow.

I dont mean to combine them in that sense, i mean to have them act as eldar models so i can strictly stay to the eldar codex. E.G. squad of ten dire avengers will have 5 avenger models and the other five are ork boys proxying as dire avengers.

I'm not turning you away what I am saying is that you've had a hell of a lot of time to send me a damn army list and now it's the last minute! It's disrespectful to the TO to have to wait and verify your army list the day of. I'm trying to make sure that there are no issues with lists and everyone is A-OK.
