Wow. Shocked People actually play this? I've played it a few times with my friend...Romans vs Macedonians, and Romans vs Samauri.

It was fun. I would play this before Warhammer Fantasy.

It's harder to paint 15mm figures. At least for me. Were yours painted Lou?

yep, they looked cool cause when you formed them in Phalanx they actually came with the Pikes and they were this thin metal rods that you had to insert in their hands, so they look pretty cool, like a hedgehog.... i think ive played most miniature games out there over the years, lol.

Not to get too far off the original post, but Warhammer Ancients (WAB) is based on 20mm bases, much like WHFB. I believe that rank and file are 20mm, skirmishers are 25mm (both square), Cav are 25X50, and Elephants/Chariots are 50X100. It's a much better game system than either WHFB or 40K, as it's hard to get overly abusive lists (Elephants aside). I've got the rulebooks and am happy to play if anyone is interested (you can proxy your WHFB army to get started...I know I will be). I used to play the Mongol Hordes, and have recently considered a Samurai army.

the rules makes it so that you could play with different model scale, im talking about like 7 years ago though, so they may have changed. it was a fun game, but my friend hated my elefants Smile they are VEry strong in that game.
