Apparently (according to Mike Ronan) the new SM codex is out and about in the UK.

Yes, your worst fears are confirmed, 5 Assault Termies with Storm Shield (3+ invul save ALWAYS) and Thunder Hammer... 200 pts.


I'll post more as I talk to him more.

200 pts? puts em at 40 pts a model which is dirt cheap. arent SM's in the current (4th edition) army 35 points?

I'm gonna go out and get a deathwing army with ALL thunderhammer termies.... oh wait.. that's right , somehow, the Dark Angles don't have that 3+ Invulnerable save technology. Those wacky Dark Angles, they're so archaic, just like the Blood angles, Space Wolves, and Black Templars. What a bunch of old geezers those chapters are.. they gotta get with the times, buy some new storms shields... jeez.

So a 10 man unit equipped as such is also out? Wink Maybe, throw 6 in a LRC with a Chappie in the unit...that should make them a lot of fun to play!!!
