Which is better?
Poll, which basing looks better?

This is for FOW, by the way.
Item 1 (my current style for the army):
I think it just doesn't look that good, probably cause it looks outa scale perhaps?
Item 2 (my current idea):
This one I removed most of the rocks (left a couple to give me a layered sort of effect I think) and put that bottom part. That back bit is supposed to be a sort of brush, but My colors came up too similar, so I'm going to go to either by an autumn one (like reds and such) or a more forest (dark green) color.
What do you guys think? Feedback is absolutely welcome!

I voted for the second basing style. The rocks don't cover the base well, and they look waay to big for the scale of those models.

Do dirt then put rocks on it. With only rocks you can see too much of the base.

Second one. Matches the scale better and looks more natural where as the first doesn't.

1st one would only look good as rubble. like urban combat , blown up brick house setting.
