I was at the store and saw a couple of players playing 40k. I haven't played the 5th edition yet. I heard one thing that was different, glancing hits can't destroy vehicles? Is this true?

Depends. If the vehicles is at 100% on AP1 weapons could do it, but they need a 6 to do it. If the vehicle has had a weapon or two blown off it still needs to be immobilized to be destroyed. Glancing isn't what it used to be, and if you don't pack weapons with enough "oomph" to take care of armor, you're going to have a rough game.

The game is much better now than in 4th edition.

Really, you don't like 5th? I find the ruleset smoother than 4th, particularly assaults. Which edition did you prefer?

Because Tyranids have tons of low AP weaponry, and massive squads of spinegaunts offering your entire army 4+ cover saves sucks balls.

5th edition is great. The only thing I don't like is the terrain rules. I liked the 4th edition rules for terrain. Other than that 5th blows 4th edition out of the water.
