The Slaan is going to be ridiculous. If you take Mazamundi, you're rocking the ruination of cities without a problem. And forget about Croak.

The only problem with mazmundi is you have to put him on a Steg.... That puts a big old bullseye on him for warmachines.

Any noticable changes?

A couple of good clarifications (level 0 wizards, Throne of Vines, Indirect shooting).

Some interesting changes (Dragon Armor for one)

Closed some loopholes.

I's suggest reading them all - changes are in pink so it is easy to spot the new stuff.

printing the brb and your army's faq has really become a requirement to play in 8th huh

If I read one of the FAQ's right stomp is like shoting and is not included in combat res. Not to mention I use a banner that does 2d6 when in combat and it states as per shooting so now that does not work into my combat res. This sucks

Unusual attacks are distributed as if they were shooting.

but did I read that right that they are not added to combat res.

No Garry - they still count twords rez. They are just "distributed" like shooting.

So is this before comabat attacks or after?

Stomp and Thunderstomp go at the end of combat by rule.

Some of these big tough monster units are just plain nasty now.

Treekin, Trolls, Dragon Ogres, iron guts.. just plain nasty.

A: Yes, as long as the character would count as an infantry
model if it wasn’t mounted.

I like this one, now i can Killing Blow those bastards on Jugernauts and what not.

RIP Dispels

Q: If I am dispelling a boosted Remains in Play spell, what value
do I need to beat to dispel it? (p36)

A: You will need to beat the basic casting value of the spell
(not the boosted casting value).

Defined "Unmodified Leadership"
Q: When taking a Leadership test, sometimes you have to take it on
your unmodified leadership. What is your unmodified leadership?
(p10)

A: Your unmodified Leadership is the highest Leadership
characteristic in the unit. Do not include any modifiers from
any source, for example, Strength in Numbers, Inspiring Presence or the Doom and Darkness spell.

Monsters & Handlers updated

Q: If a Monster and Handlers unit is required to take a
characteristic test, which values can you use? (p73)

A: You can only use the monsters characteristics; the handlers
are ignored for this purpose.

Q: If a Monster and Handlers unit is required to take a Leadership
test, which Leadership value can you use? (p73)

A: You must use the highest.

Clarified direction for flee and persue as center to center (not directly away)

Q: When a unit flees ‘directly away’ from another, does this mean
that you turn the unit about its centre, so that it will flee directly
away from the centre of the unit it is fleeing from? (p57)

A: Yes.

Characteristic Tests on multipart units

Q. For characteristic tests, is the best value in the unit always
used? (p10)

A. If the unit is required to take a characteristic test, the best
value in the unit is used. If every model in a unit is required
to take a characteristic test, then each model uses its own best value instead.

Some of those seemed like common sense, but at least we now have a definitive answer on the subject.
