40k Tournament September 11th Saturday, 2K

I changed it. Saving the weird shut for later. This will be standard game and rules. If even one person Felt they couldn't play then I would do regular games for tourneys. So how about it?

So now we're back to straight rulebook 40k?

Yea, I don't want any issues with this one. I won't be. In store till like next tourny so I don't want to make anything too complicated. I know I can't please everyone, so with any issues I will just make it standard for now to get the most players possible.

i have a few fun missions that use the reg foc and is equally for both sides

ill post them in the 40k section n use the best 3?

I'm all for it. I don't mind variety and such, just not here's ordnance templates parts of your army now burn before the start of the game.

I thought burning was ok for Heritics.

Well, I'm screwed again. I have a lawschool conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel that I have to attend, from 9:30 AM Saturday, until 7 PM Saturday, and Archit is going too. It steams my noodle that something keeps coming up, and I'm beginning to seriously hate this "real life" my parents always told me about. Isn't there a cure?

Nope. Wait till you get a "real" job. 8 to 5 is a bitch. 3 to 1 is worse.

No thanks. :p I should be able to swing in today to play a few games, hopefully, but everytime I say I'll be there, I always get screwed, so.. /fingercross

To avoid any confusions, I want everyone to know that the missions for 9/11 tournament will be standard missions from the rulebook. This will not be the same every month. Last month, things were taken from Battle Missions. This month then we do regular missions. Next month will be Spearhead. I will alternate between expansions and regular missions for each tourny to try my best to satisfy everyone with out having to get on my knees.

P.S. Nick is still gay for not playing any tourneys lately. You know him and Josh are probably scared to play with their weak Girly armies.

Thanks everyone who played. I am glad everyone got to pick something up as well. Next month's tournament will have two days. One on a Wednesday and followed by Saturday. This way one has the option of doing all thier games on a Wednesday or Saturday, as well as doing one or two games on either day if one can't be their all day on either day.

Not be nosey, but how is this going to work later rounds and match-ups to ensure that the top 2 players are facing off against each other?

If you required everyone to be at both days that would work, but giving them the option would I think cause too many issues. What I play all 3 of my games on Wednesday and get 3 Massacres only for someone else to do the same thing on Saturday?

Just trying a way to get more players involved. Besides attendance has been poor, thank god GW still provides prize support. With a so few players, everyone has been able to still walk out with something. Weird though, the most vocal players are the ones who usually don't show. Oh well, here is to hoping the next one is bigger.

This happens all the time at larger tournaments. Introducing battle-point modifiers and other points decreases the possibility.

Its more a question about who plays who? I'm guessing higher scoring players wouldn't necessarily play other high scoring players.

Yea, I started to use those recently. Helps out. So if you think you are a higher scoring player, come by and prove it. Hehe
