Hi gang,

I have an option to trade out some fantasy for this SM Bike list.
I understand this make a "legal" build, but is it also a playable list that has a chance to compete in today's meta game?

Would I be better building this out with a White Scar or Ravenwing theme?

Bikes:
14 assembled primed and I started basecoating.
equipped with 2 melta guns
2 power fists
2 thunder hammer storm shields
2 power swords
4 chainsword
2 riders not assembled
(power weapons are space wolf) I have weapons to replace these just ask!)
7 unassembled primed and clipped from the sprue

3 scout bikers partially assembled not primed with all extra bits on sprue

2 attack bikes w multi meltas primed

3 land speeders need some tlc I have all bits they have assault cannons on the bottoms and I have the heavy bolters.
1 master of the ravenwing speeder needs tlc
1 LRC oop needs tlc all bits present primed
1 LR with side sponsons removed for the possibility of future magnetizing.( I have the TL Las spons) needs tlc primed

TIA!

It's playable, but not as ravenwing. Maybe as white scars. The current issue with bikes is that it turns a small fairly elite army (SM) into an even smaller more elite force. You trade the added benefits of transports ( vehicle damage table) for toughness 5 and better movement. You WILL feel the loss of every dead bike. You cannot compete with a pure shooting force. Using Khan for whitescars helps with outflank, but if you play someone who knows how to counter it you'll have lost at deployment. It's a fun force, and it looks like he was going for a dual SM command team on bikes (very powerful, but very cost prohibitive) ,but 2 LR for support is really bad in an army this small. If you trade for this, I suggest trying to pick up other better support units as well.
