3000 pt Hold the Line

So, yesterday a bunch of us got together and played a 3000 pt hold the line. We had six players wih 3 1000 pt lists.

Axis:
Bill- Panzer Company
Henry- Panzergrenedier
Stephan- Folgore (italian paratroopers)

Allied:
Ammon (new player) British Rifle Co.
Eric - British light tank company
Will- American light tank company

Basically, Will had a 12 stuarts, 7 scotts. I had 10 crusaders and 3 grants and Ammon had rifle company with churchills airsupport and 25pdrs.

When the bad guys saw all the tanks they switched their list and brought in a tiger!

It was a hard fought game where we lost a ton of tanks and took the objective in turn six only to lose it later that turn. It was a long game that ended after turn six in a tie because it took so long. I think the axis would have won had we kept playing. Here is some pictures.

Looks like it was a good battle!

The other issue the allies had to contend with was.... stephan's use of chemical weapons!

Chemical weapons??

must have been alcoholic beverages, Stephan's weapon of choice!

the only problem was that the prevailing winds which kept blowing over the gas to the Axis side... friendly fire if you will !!

All I ate that morning was some granola,, go figure.

Hey, any of u guys wanna get together thursday for soem FoW loving ? The peasant army is hungry again. And stephan better leave his chemical warfare at home, or he gonna get a taste of Cuban Bean and Eggs gas that will melt the flesh from his bones.

i dont have the late war book, nor any late war minis, unless you let me proxy something, i'll try it out, i'll download the late war file for army builder, what's it called ? 2000 sounds good ?

You don't need any new mini's for late-war, you can use the same ones for mid and late war.

In late war Luis, your Russians all become Trained Confident, no longer fearless conscripts.

I actually found the way to make a late war list with army builder, confident trained sounds pretty good!
