Re: Infinity Hype!
Having a hard time putting a list together. Feel like I am doing it wrong. 200-250 point lists only have 5-7 models, is that right or appropriate? Anyway, also just picked up a few of my fav models. hope I can do them justice in a fitting lists.

Re: Infinity Hype!
Armies are usually no bigger than 10 models on average, it's normal to have fewer models. But you will want to usually add in some really cheap units to a list to generate more orders for your forces.
You will sometimes just have the cheapo grunts sitting back in cover while using the orders they generate on your more important units, it's a common occurance.

Re: Infinity Hype!
Seems like a decent mix of things. Main thing to remember from my experience with Infinity is to have a range of equipment and weapons to take on all comers. Advantage many Inifinty weapons or units have, is the multiple ammo types.
I would never really recommend using stuff like rocket launchers or some of the really heavy weapons, since you can get anti heavy armor by simply using armor piercing rounds or other similar weapons. It's an infantry level game and even with some of the big robots and such, they can be brought down with special ammo that will save you alot of SWC points.
Best special weapons in the game to me personally are generally the sniper rifles with variable ammo as the accuracy and range just own all, and grenade launchers. HMG's are good too for their large volume of fire though so I sometimes throw some of those in as well.
You will of course need to play several games to get an idea of what works for you and what you like, it's best to proxy a bit at first of course, and CB anyways doesn't make figs for all variations of the units in the game, so a person is forced to proxy lot of figs anyways

Re: Infinity Hype!
Noticed micro art studio has infinity templates and bases. Joel has a distributor that can get stuff from them. They just released some terrain and it's really expensive. Hope it will be cheaper with Joel.

Re: Infinity Hype!
Or just print out the templates from the pdfs or books. It is also helpful to get them printed out so you have a bunch to toss around when players use lot of smoke, a board can fill up with circular templates.

Anyone know how fast the war store ships? I've been waiting close to two weeks for my order and am getting upset with them.

Nope, I ordered from FRP and maelstrom. Maelstorm hasthe best prices, still waiting though it hasn't been two weeks. If maelstrom is under two weeks, then that will be my source for minis. Has anyone asked if Joel could get them at a smaller price?

They usually ship out next day or within 2 days, order all the time. If they haven't shipped something you might want to try and contact them, possibly something is out of stock.

Maelstorm can take a bit at times, though you wont likely ever get better prices for Infinity, as they are closer to the source.

Re: Infinity Hype!
Joel said he could give 10% off... I asked him about it and it seems like he wasn't real excited about ordering and we wouldn't be able to put in the order till he had to order with a certain distributer in California and they sometimes take long to ship... So sounds like you would be waiting forever and a day.
I ordered from maelstrom. They said my order shipped Saturday. I used the free shipping. Anyone know how long it should take to get my minis?

Re: Infinity Hype!
I got my metal WoTR from Maelstorm. Great prices and free shipping is hard to beat.
Maelstorm is usually slow to ship and it takes about 2 weeks to clear customs from the UK ince it goes out.

I have had good success from the War Store. If it hasn't shipped it is usually because it is out of stock. Contact them. They have good customer service. Just call them and talk to them directly (its a husband and wife team).

Yeah, Maelstrom takes about 2 weeks.
I once ordered an Infinity piece from Joel. Took a month and a week because of the California distributor.

Re: Infinity Hype!
warstore does not have immedite stock listings on their site, they sell lot of product locally at their own store and they also do their own distribution as well.
miniaturemarket.com usually has the best inventory tracking of everyone but sadly they dropped Infinity from their store.

Re: Infinity Hype!
If your willing to wait. Warstore is usually pretty good, though all the US retailers can take a while to restock since there is only one distributor for Infinity in the US so whenever they run out, they it can take a while for the distributor to get stuff back in and resupply the retailers. Maelstrom will usually be the best option for price and stock, just a bit slow.

I also ordered my Ariadna models today from ccg armory. I have never ordered from them before but it was like 30% off all the models and only 7 bucks shipping. Not to bad. The only draw back was they didnt have a huge selection.

Re: Infinity Hype!
I mentioned on the previous page that sniper rifles tend to be the best special weapon in the game. Terrain and playing careful help out and theres lot of things you can do to counter, but the way they can lock down large portions of the board with op fire is sick.
